Today, we decided to try out the swimming pool on site. It has shower and separate changing cubicles plus toilets and lockers to store your items (£1 per locker) Inside there is a small pool for young children, an area where water shoots out like a shower on you, two slides - one is straight the other is twisty and then your main swimming pool. Our boys loved the slides!
There is also a small seated cafe area for spectators too. The swimming pool isn't a big pool but it's very enjoyable and clean. You will need to book 48 hours in advance for a slot to swim.

Today, we received our first feedback from our very first guests staying at Smithy's Retreat. We are absolutely over the moon by the comments and look forward to having them stay again next year.

Today, we visited Skegness Aquarium. We have been here before on a couple of occasions. This year there have an added attraction! The Jurassic Falls. It's a dinosaur 🦕 themed adventure with lots of dinosaurs (some moving) an area to be a palaeontologist and lots of amazing facts about dinosaurs 🦖 too.
In the aquarium, I could spend hours to watching the sea life swim! There is a lovely cafe, a place for children to design there own fish and see them on screen, a gift shop and the chance to swim with the sea life (you will need to book in advance for this).

Two months after buying Smithy's Retreat we get our second 5* review! We are over the moon that guests staying at our home away from home enjoy their stay and find it relaxing.
Whilst cleaning the caravan for our next guests, we decided to visit the local garden centre for a bite to eat. This is not our first time visiting and the food did not let us down. We highly recommend visiting the garden centre for yourselves, there is lots for everyone.

After three lovely 5 ⭐️ reviews our luck ran out with the latest guests. Unfortunately the caravan was not left to the standards stated in our terms and conditions. Today we had our fourth 5 🌟 review! Not only that the latest guests have booked again for next year already!! We are thrilled 🤩 They left the caravan so clean and tidy just what you want from guests staying.

Our week at Smithy's Retreat
Good evening.
We would like to apologise for not keeping our page up-to-date. We've had a very busy couple of months with guests visiting Smithy's Retreat and ourselves too.
This week is the last week we have guests staying in our caravan as we are due to close it down this weekend. Smithy's Retreat will be open again at the end of March next year as we are going to re-decorate and update it a little. We've had the most amazing first year as caravan owners and can't wait to do it all again next year. We would like to thank all our guests that have stayed with us this year and for everyone who has supported us too, we really do appreciate it.
All that is left to say is that our diary is open for next year. A £50 deposit secures the date in which you would like to stay. We have very limited availability for the summer holiday next year already so get your dates booked in to save disappointment!

Today, we visited Smithy's Retreat. It's the first time we've been this year since we closed it down at the end of season last November. All was good with our caravan and we look forward to decorating it in March.
